Bebras Computing Challenge (Bebras)

International computational-thinking puzzle test. K-12 friendly, 45 minutes, zero programming required.

About this competition

Bebras is a global computational-thinking competition originating in Lithuania and now run in 60+ countries. The challenge: solve 12-15 puzzles in 45 minutes that test logical reasoning, pattern recognition, and decomposition — but require no programming knowledge.

Best fit for elementary and middle-school students who haven't learned to code yet but want to see if computational reasoning clicks for them. A great pre-USACO, pre-NACLO on-ramp. The U.S. challenge runs the second week of November.
