About this competition
Technovation Girls is a global program where girls (and some coed teams) ages 8-18 spend 12 weeks building a mobile app to solve a problem in their community. Teams of 1-5 students work with a volunteer mentor through a structured curriculum that covers coding, business strategy, and pitching.
Three age divisions (Junior 8-12, Senior 13-15, Senior 16-18) compete in regional Quarterfinals (April), Semifinals (June, online), and World Summit Finals at varying global locations. Awarded teams have launched startups, won grants, and matriculated at top CS programs.
Free to participate. Recommended for girls who want to combine technical learning with social impact framing — a different shape than USACO or CAC.
